A quick and festive fall brunch drink featuring chilled apple cider and sparkling wine, finished with a warm cinnamon sugar rim for a cozy, sensory experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Apple Cider (100% pure, chilled)
  • 1 cup Sparkling Wine or Prosecco (chilled)
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar (for rim)
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon (for rim)
  • Ice Cubes
  • Apple Slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir until evenly distributed.
  2. Optional: Chill champagne flutes or coupe glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Pour a small amount of water or simple syrup onto a small plate. Dip the rim of the glass into the liquid to wet it evenly, then shake off excess.
  4. Immediately dip the wet rim of the glass into the cinnamon sugar mixture, rotating to coat. Tap lightly to remove excess sugar.
  5. Fill the rimmed glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the chilled apple cider over the ice, filling the glass about halfway.
  7. Slowly pour the chilled sparkling wine or prosecco over the cider to preserve bubbles, filling the glass to the top.
  8. Garnish with a thin slice of fresh apple and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best texture, ensure ingredients are thoroughly chilled. Use coarse turbinado sugar if available for better adherence. If making a batch, mix cider and wine in a pitcher but keep glasses rimmed separately. Consume immediately to preserve carbonation.
