Creepy Cute Graveyard Dirt Pudding Cups - featured image

A spooky yet sweet Halloween dessert featuring layers of chocolate pudding and crushed cookie ‘dirt’ with a piped pudding tombstone and gummy worm garnish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold whole milk
  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies (e.g., Oreos)
  • 1 package gummy worms
  • Candied cherry eyes or mini marshmallows (optional)
  • Chocolate syrup or drizzle (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk in a medium bowl for about 2-4 minutes until thick and smooth.
  2. Set the pudding aside in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to firm up slightly.
  3. Place chocolate cookies in a large Ziploc bag and crush them into fine crumbs using a rolling pin or heavy bottle.
  4. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of crushed cookies into the bottom of each clear cup and press down gently to create a base.
  5. Spoon 3-4 tablespoons of pudding on top of the cookie layer and smooth it out.
  6. Fill a piping bag or Ziploc bag with the remaining pudding. Squeeze a dollop onto the center of the cup and shape it into a tombstone.
  7. Sprinkle more crushed cookies on top of the tombstone to make it look partially buried.
  8. Place a gummy worm near the base of the tombstone and add candy eyes if desired.
  9. Drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use cold milk for the best pudding texture. Ensure cookie crumbs are fine for a realistic dirt look. Place gummy worms in the cookie layer to prevent sliding. Can be made up to 3 days in advance or frozen for up to 1 month.
