- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (e.g., Pillsbury)
- 4 string cheese sticks (mozzarella, cheddar, or pepper jack)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut each string cheese stick in half crosswise to make 8 short cheese pieces. Set aside.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a cutting board. Press the perforated seams together to form a flat rectangle. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough lengthwise into 8 thin strips, each about half an inch wide.
- Take one hot dog and place a cheese stick half right next to it. Start wrapping one strip of dough around the hot dog and cheese, stretching it slightly as you go. Leave a small gap near the top of the hot dog for the face. Press the end of the dough strip gently to seal.
- Place each wrapped mummy on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch of space between them.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the mummies rest on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes to allow the cheese to set slightly.
- Using a toothpick, dot two small eyes onto each mummy with mustard or ketchup on the exposed hot dog area near the top.
