Spooky Witches Brew Green Punch - featured image

A vibrant, creamy, and fizzy Halloween punch made with lime sherbet and lemon-lime soda, featuring a spooky green color and optional dry ice fog effect.

Ingredients

  • Lime Sherbet (high-quality brand recommended)
  • Lemon-Lime Soda (Sprite or 7-Up, chilled)
  • Green Food Coloring (gel or liquid)
  • Ice (regular or frozen grapes/eyeballs)
  • Dry Ice (optional, for fog effect)
  • Fresh Lime Juice (optional, for sharper flavor)
  • White Grape Juice (optional, for volume)

Instructions

  1. Chill the lemon-lime soda in the refrigerator for at least an hour before mixing.
  2. Take the lime sherbet out of the freezer 10-15 minutes before mixing to soften slightly.
  3. In a large punch bowl, add the lime sherbet and any optional juices (lime or grape).
  4. Gently stir the sherbet to break it up slightly.
  5. Slowly pour the chilled lemon-lime soda over the sherbet to preserve carbonation.
  6. Stir gently to combine until the mixture is frothy and creamy.
  7. Add green food coloring, starting with 3-4 drops, and stir until the desired green shade is reached.
  8. Let the punch sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill and meld flavors (optional).
  9. Right before serving, add dry ice pieces using heavy gloves for the fog effect (if using).
  10. Ladle into cups, ensuring no dry ice pieces are included in the serving.
  11. Garnish with lime slices, green grapes, or plastic eyeballs.

Notes

Do not over-stir to prevent losing carbonation. If using dry ice, ensure proper ventilation and never let guests ingest it. Sherbet should be soft but not melted before mixing. For a dairy-free version, use sorbet. For a low-sugar version, use diet soda and sugar-free sherbet.
